If you have been following us for a while, you probably already know that we carry out our reforestation projects on land that we own. This is particularly important to us because it allows us to protect the trees in the long term and ensure that they can continue to thrive safely even after reaching maturity.

The small saplings planted in the ground will gradually grow into native trees. You, who are reading this post right now, can adopt one of them – or even adopt an entire small forest. Whether you choose a single tree or a whole forest, you can even give them a name of your choice.

We have already completed reforestation at our sites in Nyíradony, Biatorbágy and Baja, and we are currently in the process of purchasing our next site in Sükösd, also near Baja. Follow us, as we’ll be sharing more details about the new site and our next reforestation project soon!

Now, however, we would also like to offer a new opportunity.

We feel that more and more of you are looking for ways to make your immediate urban surroundings greener. We also believe it is important to increase not only the number of forests created on larger, continuous areas, but also to bring more greenery into smaller urban spaces. That is why we are expanding our range of offerings with a new option: Miyawaki forests.

But what exactly is a Miyawaki forest?

The Miyawaki method is associated with the work of Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki. Its essence is to create a complex plant community on a small area through dense planting, using exclusively native tree species.

With dense planting, the plants compete for sunlight, which can encourage faster growth and allow a closed green area to develop in a shorter period of time. Using this method, it is possible to create a dense, diverse mini forest even in a relatively small space.

For our Miyawaki forests, we also work exclusively with native species. The exact composition of species is always selected based on the characteristics and conditions of the site.
